Done.

Check out the website.

I realise that there is an issue with very small spacing and I am pretty sure that it has to do with the layer and it's positioning. At least it has a smaller gap than the last photo I posted.

Super close now...

So I've fixed the last two problems including the broken template thing.

To fix that one must go to the insert > Layout objects > AP Div. Hey presto! It's fixed. Yay!

A link will be up shortly with the actual website.

So close...

That list of things to finish on the website is slowly disappearing. I figured out how to make thumbnails, a quick google search on how to make thumbnails in html showed me the way.

Here's the short tutorial that I used. http://www.htmlgoodies.com/tutorials/web_graphics/article.php/3480031/So-You-Want-A-Thumb-Nail-Image-Huh.htm

Fixed up all the file names into lower case. Which resulted me into changing all the links the long way, since most of them are in the only editable region.

I've place most things into the site folder which is the images, video and audio. Which once again required me to do things the long way round. All because of the editable region. I've tried to place most of the html files into the source file (I think this is the right place), but they did not work when I went to change the template so that all the links could update. Due to last part not working, I've placed all the files back to where they were before.

I haven't had the chance to attempt to fix the silly photo shop splice yet.

Still the troubles...

This screenshot should show all the trouble I have with Dreamweaver. All links work, but they do not sit on top of the photo shop splice background.

Decided to make at the last minute another button icon that will be used to link back to my Vimeo homepage. Here it is.

Now in the next couple hours to figure out how to make thumbnails of images, fix all my file names into lowercase, put things into site and source folders and finally figure out how to fix the breaking splice. Fun times, but hopefully it will all be done. Hopefully.

SiteMap and Buttons

Here is finally a Sitemap for my ePortfolio website (and hopefully it makes sense).  The Gallery pages all have a link to each other so that is why it may seem a bit messy on the diagram. The Contact page does have two outgoing links, one to the blog itself and one to my Deviantart page, where I have taken most of my Gallery pieces from.

Edit on Monday: I have since added a link on the contact page that will be outgoing to my Vimeo home page. This link can also be accessed from the film gallery.

These are the two icon buttons that I created in Photoshop to personalize the contact page instead of boring old blue links. Now viewers get to click two fancy buttons. Yay!

I am still having trouble with the splice thing that I mention last. I've just continued on and added all the content that I wanted to all the pages and hopefully it will get another look in the class time that will be available.
Jack and I look at it last week for about 45 minutes after class and could not get it to work properly. So we left it, so that I (or both of us) can look at it fresh for next week.

Headaches

Here's my lovely assignment in dream weaver so far. I'm having trouble with the editable region. If I open a html page that was already created from the template and start typing on the editable region my background image that was a splice from photo shop disappears.

I'm hoping to find a solution to this soon. Hopefully.

Cloudy

Today I give thee a first look at some website deigns (that will hopefully work) and a WIP that will uploaded to site as a part of the gallery.

This here is something that I've been working on in class within photoshop. Now I have to learn how to splice this to insert it into Dreamweaver.

This lovely picture is a WIP that will be completed as a part of CAI 102, Fridge Festival Project. However, it will also live on my portfolio site. I'm very happy with how this is turning out so far, as all of the fish as hand drawn into the computer with the help of my trusty Intuos4.

I think I might also add a photography section in my gallery. This photo of mine was taken on the Australia Day Ute Run, featuring my Dad's 1952 Chev ute.

So, all together on my Gallery page at this moment I think there will be three sub pages. Digital Art, Work In Progresses (WIPs) and Photography. There's a chance that another two or three that might be added such as Paper Scans, Videos and 3D Works.

Also, I have some followers now. Hello. : )
